Change-log-expiration-enabled: Stsadm property (Windows SharePoint Services)

Description

Specifies whether change logs are deleted after the time span defined in the Change-log-retention-period property.

Important

In Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, this property is only configurable using the Object Model. For additional information about change log expiration, see ChangeLogExpirationEnabled Property (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=113675&clcid=0x409).

Syntax

stsadm -o setproperty

-propertyname change-log-expiration-enabled

-propertyvalue {True | False}

**\[-url\]** \<https://server\_name\>

The syntax for the getproperty operation is:

stsadm -o getproperty

propertyname change-log-expiration-enabled

**\[-url\]** \<https://server\_name\>

Note

You can substitute -pn for -propertyname and -pv for -propertyvalue.

Property values

The following table shows possible values.

Name Value

propertyname

Gets or sets the name of the property.

propertyvalue

True: Change logs are deleted after the time span defined in the Change-log-retention-period property.

False: Change logs are not deleted after the time span defined in theChange-log-retention-period property.

url

Typically, a path to the URL of the Web application, in the form http://server_name.

Examples

To set the change logs not to delete after a certain time period, use the following syntax:

stsadm -o setproperty -pn change-log-expiration-enabled -pv False
