Update Certificates Wizard

Use the Update Certificates Wizard to renew the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates that were issued by Windows EBS to the Security Server and Messaging Server.

Note

You cannot use the Update Certificates Wizard to update any certificate issued by a non-Microsoft organization.

Updating your certificates will briefly interrupt Internet connectivity and client access to Microsoft Exchange through Outlook Web Access. To minimize impact to users on your network, update certificates during a scheduled service maintenance period.

Click Next to retrieve certificate details.

Choose certificates

You can choose to renew the Messaging Server certificate, the Security Server certificate, or both. It is recommended that you renew each certificate before its expiration date.

User-account details

Type your fully qualified domain name, and type the credentials for an account that has permission to request certificates from the local certification authority.

Click Update to begin the certificate update process. The Progress page displays the update progress of the certificates you selected. The Finish page displays the update status.
