Publish a Web Site

You can use the New Web Publishing Rule Wizard in Forefront TMG to publish an internal Web site through Forefront TMG. By using Web publishing rules, the Security Server intercepts incoming HTTP and HTTPS requests and forwards them to an appropriate Web server on your internal network.

Note

You must use an account that is in the Domain Admins group to perform this procedure.

To start the New Web Publishing Rule Wizard

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Windows Essential Business Server, and then click Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console.

  2. Click the Security tab, click Network firewall, and then in the tasks pane, click Publish Web sites. The New Web Publishing Rule Wizard in Forefront TMG appears.

  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard to configure a Web publishing rule.

Note

If you want to publish a Web site that receives HTTPS requests, you must have a digital certificate installed on the server.
