View Updates Status

To view a summary of updates on your managed computers or an Update Deployment status report for a specific managed computer, connect to the System Center Essentials console from the Windows EBS Administration Console.

For more information about update management, see System Center Essentials Help: On the Management Server, in the System Center Essentials console, press F1.

Note

You must use an account that is in the Domain Admins group to perform this procedure.

To view a summary of updates in System Center Essentials

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Windows Essential Business Server, and then click Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console.

  2. On the Security tab, in the results pane, click Update Management.

  3. In the tasks pane, click View updates status summary. The System Center Essentials console starts and displays a summary of updates on managed computers.

To view an Update Deployment status report for a managed computer in System Center Essentials

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Windows Essential Business Server, and then click Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console.

  2. On the Computers and Devices tab, in the results pane, click a managed computer.

  3. In the tasks pane, click View Update Deployment status report. The System Center Essentials console starts and displays an Update Deployment status report.
