Create a Server Publishing Rule

You can use the New Server Publishing Rule Wizard in Forefront TMG to configure access to internal servers such as FTP servers and Microsoft SQL Server computers. When you publish a server, requests are forwarded from the Security Server to an internal server on your network.

For a list of ports and protocols used by several Microsoft server technologies, see article 832017 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=127873). For information about the ports and protocols that are used by another server application, consult your product documentation.

For more information about publishing a server, see Forefront TMG Help: On the Security Server, in the Forefront TMG console, press F1.

Note

You must use an account that is in the Domain Admins group to perform this procedure.
