Verify Client Access License Compliance

You can monitor your client access license (CAL) compliance in the Administration Console.

Note

You must use an account that is in the Domain Admins group to perform this procedure.

To verify license compliance

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Windows Essential Business Server, and then click Windows Essential Business Server Administration Console.

  2. Click the Licenses tab, and then click License Management.

  3. In the results pane, review the Status of each of the CAL editions in your network for compliance with the licensing terms for Windows EBS. For each CAL edition, the details pane shows the number of CALs that are installed, assigned, and available for assignment.
