The Device Licenses page is where you can manage client access licenses (CALs) for the devices in your Windows EBS network.

Page layout

Item	Details
Results pane	Lists all computers with an Active Directory Domain Services account in the root domain and indicates if device CALs have been assigned.
Tasks pane	General license management tasks. For more information, see the Device Licenses tasks section later in this document. License management tasks for the device that is selected in the results pane. For more information, see the <Device> tasks section later in this document.

Additional information

The Edition column displays a Built-in CAL for the Management Server, Security Server, and Messaging Server. It also displays a Built-in CAL for any other server in the domain. You do not need to assign a separate CAL for Windows EBS to any of these servers, and you cannot unassign the built-in CALs.

Working with the data

To refresh the page: On the View menu, click Refresh.
To sort the objects in the results pane: On the View menu, click Sort By, and then click a field name. Alternatively, click a column heading in the results pane and sort the objects in a field.
To customize the arrangement of the data in the results pane: On the View menu, click Customize Results View. Then in the Customize the Results View dialog box, select and rearrange the columns.
To save the data in the results pane: On the File menu, click Save As CSV.
To display a task menu: Right-click an object in the results pane. To start a task, click the task name in the menu.
To start the primary task associated with an object: Double-click the object in the results pane.

Device Licenses tasks

Task	Details
Install CAL packs	Starts the Install CAL Packs Wizard to install a CAL pack in Windows EBS.
Start TS Licensing Manager	Starts the TS Licensing Manager console to administer Terminal Services CALs.

<Device> tasks

Task	Details
Manage CAL	Opens the Manage CAL dialog box to assign or unassign a CAL for Windows EBS.
