The Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server (FPE) scheduled scan is typically used to scan the entire information store. The scheduled scan also enables you to scan mailboxes and public folders that are not covered by the realtime scan. It is recommended that you run a full scheduled scan after installing FPE for the first time.
