Operations Manager 2007 Model Wizard
You can use the Operations Manager 2007 Model Wizard to enter summary information about your Operations Manager infrastructure that you can later edit with the Model Editor.
You use the Model Wizard pages to specify the following information:
- Site and network information for the management group
- Number of servers in your infrastructure
- Information typically sent from all management consoles and agent-managed computers, and how much of this information is stored in the Operations Manager database, the Reporting data warehouse, and how much information is filtered by the ACS collector
- Your hardware preferences
- Server information, which specifies whether certain optional server roles are available, whether multiple server roles are consolidated on servers, and if clustered or redundant servers are used to increase availability.
After you specify your desired topology and expected application usage in the Model Wizard, the wizard displays a summary and then generates a capacity model based on your specifications.
