Active Directory Schema Level Set to Windows Server 2008

For your new servers to act as domain controllers on your existing network, your existing schema level must be compatible with Windows Server 2008, which is the underlying operating system for Windows EBS.

If you need to upgrade the schema level, you are prompted to insert the Prerequisite Planning Tools disc into the domain controller that holds the schema master Active Directory role. Then run the Schema Upgrade Tool, which guides you through the upgrade process. When it is finished, you are prompted to return to the Management Server and to continue installing Windows EBS.

Important

Only run the Schema Upgrade Tool if you are prompted.
