Scenario 3: Initiate the Provisioning Process from a Web Service

If you initiate existing provisioning services from a Web service, you can continue to use this method. To submit a request into Microsoft Provisioning System (MPS), you can utilize any of the following paths illustrated in the figure in this topic.

  • Path 1 -Have the system that submits provisioning requests directly call the Microsoft ASP.NET Web Service.

  • Path 2 -Call the Microsoft ASP.NET Web Service from your existing Web service.

  • Path 3 -Call the MPF COM Client directly from your existing Web service.

The following figure shows an example of this configuration.
