Start the Fax service

It may become necessary to start the Fax service after installing a fax device or if the service stops unexpectedly. The Windows SBS Console provides quick access to a task that enables you to start the Fax service.

To start the Fax service by using the Windows SBS Console

  1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click Network, and then click the Devices tab.

  3. Device Tasks, click Start the Fax service.

Note

If the Fax service is not installed on the server, a dialog box appears and prompts you to install the service.
