Anti-spam settings for e-mail cannot be configured

Problem   Anti-spam settings for e-mail cannot be configured.

Features affected   The configuration of Windows SBS 2008 for anti-spam is not correct. Anti-spam agents are running, but they are not running as recommended for Windows SBS 2008. As a result, more spam may arrive in users’ mailboxes.

To configure the anti-spam settings

  1. Click Start, select All Programs, click Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, right-click Exchange Management Shell, and then click Run as administrator.

  2. In the User Account Control window, click Continue.

  3. In the Exchange Management Shell window, type the following command: Set-SenderFilterConfig -BlankSenderBlockingEnabled $true

  4. In the Exchange Management Shell window, type the following command: Set-RecipientFilterConfig -RecipientValidationEnabled $true
