Terminal Services was not installed

Problem   Terminal Services is not installed.

Features affected   Network users cannot connect to any client computers by using Remote Web Workplace.

Solution   To resolve this issue, you must manually install Terminal Services.

To manually install Terminal Services

  1. Click Start, in the Search box, type cmd, in the quick launch pane, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  2. In the User Account Control window, click Continue.

  3. Type pkgmgr.exe /iu:Gateway;Gateway-UI

    Note

If the Terminal Services Gateway Manager started and if a server restart is not required, you do not receive a message to confirm that Terminal Services is installed successfully. If the Terminal Services Gateway Manager is not installed, you receive an error message. The installation takes about five minutes.

Follow-up task   After you finish, you must install the Terminal Services Gateway. For instructions about how to do this, see “Terminal Services (TS) Gateway is not configured properly” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=119487).
