Updated: August 21, 2008

Applies To: Windows SBS 2008

In Windows SBS 2008, you can configure your server to manage only one Office Live Small Business account at a time. If you have multiple Office Live Small Business accounts that are associated with your Windows Live ID, the server is configured to manage the Office Live Small Business Web site that is associated with the latest Office Live Small Business account that was created.

The Office Live Small Business Application Web site is not automatically activated when you complete the Office Live Small Business Web sites Wizard. The following error message appears: The Business Application Web site is not activated. To resolve this error, you need to manually activate the Business Application Web site, and then update the Office Live Small Business Web site links on the server.

For more information about resolving this error, see the Troubleshooting Office Live Small Business Web sites section later in this document.

If you have multiple Office Live Small Business accounts, and you want configure your server to manage a particluar Office Live Small Business Web site (not automatically pick the latest Web site that is associated with your Windows Live ID), then after you run the wizard, create a new registry key named Redel_Public_Website_DomainName, with its value data set to the domain name of your Office Live Small Business Web site.

To create a new registry key

  1. From the server running Windows SBS 2008, click Start, and then in the search box, type regedit.

Warning

Incorrectly editing the registry may severely damage your system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on the computer.

  1. Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\.

  2. Right-click OfficeLive, click New, and then click String Value. Name the string value’s name as Redel_Public_Website_DomainName

  3. Set the value data of the string value Redel_Public_Website_DomainName to the domain name your Office Live Small Business Web site. For example, if the domain name of your Office Live Small Business Web site is contoso.com, then set the registry key value to www.contoso.com.
