Upgrade to Office SharePoint Server 2007 from Search Server 2008 or Search Server 2008 Express

You can upgrade from Microsoft Search Server 2008 or Search Server 2008 Express to Office SharePoint Server 2007, the Infrastructure Update for Microsoft Office Servers, and optionally Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and the Infrastructure Update for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 by using either of the following methods:

  • Perform a slipstream installation   This method is appropriate when upgrading a multiple computer server farm.

  • Install each component separately   This method is usually performed if you are upgrading a single computer server farm.

Note that the Infrastructure Update for Microsoft Office Servers is a required part of this upgrade.
