Create a new site

  1. Open the intranet. By default, the intranet is located at http://companyweb/.
  2. On the top navigation bar, click Create.
  3. On the Create Page page, under Web Pages, click Sites and Workspaces.
  4. Under Title and Description, type the title and the optional description for the new site.
  5. Under Web Site Address, type the last part of the new Web address. This will be appended to the parent site; for example, http://companyweb/new_site.
  6. Under Permissions, select one of the following:
    • Use same permissions as parent site Select this option if you want anyone with access to the parent site to have access to this site.
    • Use unique permissions Select this option to specify who can access this site. You must provide access manually. For more information, see "Manage intranet access" in Related Topics.
  7. Click Create.
  8. On the Template Selection page, select a template to apply to this site, and then click OK.
