I changed the name of the shared printer, but the original printer still appears on my computer that is running Windows Vista.

Cause: Changes to the name of a printer that is shared on the server are not reflected on a client computer that is running Windows Vista.

Solution: Log on to each client computer that is running Windows Vista, and then manually delete the printer using the old name of the shared printer. Then manually add the shared printer to the client computer using its new name. This issue does not apply to Windows XP client printers.
