Virtual Server technology dependencies

In addition to the technologies listed in System requirements for Virtual Server, Virtual Server 2005 depends on Active Directory constrained delegation in the following scenarios:

  • Virtual Server resource files are located on a separate computer from the Virtual Server service (Vssrvc.exe).
  • You want to use Virtual Server Manager search paths, as described in Configuring Virtual Server Manager search paths, and you want to use Integrated Windows authentication, rather than Basic authentication.

Important

   Constrained delegation is not supported when using Microsoft Windows XP Professional as your host operating system.
