Add or remove a virtual machine script

To add or remove a virtual machine script

  1. Open the Administration Website.
  2. In the navigation pane, under Virtual Machines, point to Configure and then click the appropriate virtual machine.
  3. In Configuration for the virtual machine (in the lower part of the page), click Scripts.
  4. To add a script, in the Command box of the event for which you want to run a script, type the fully qualified path to the script.
  5. To remove a script, in the Command box of the event for which you do not want to run a script, remove all the text.
  6. Repeat for any additional events, and then click OK.

To perform this procedure, you must have the appropriate permissions. If you do not have the appropriate permissions, you will either receive an error message or you will not be able to view certain menu items and options described in this procedure. To change your permissions, contact your Virtual Server administrator. For more information, see Securing Virtual Server. Before you can assign a script to a virtual machine, you must enable scripting for virtual machines and assign a user account to the virtual machine, which is the account under which the script will be run.
