Assessing Managed Applications on Windows 2000

The Windows® Compatibility Evaluator (WCE) enables you to identify issues that relate to the following:
- Graphical Identification and Authentication (GINA) DLLs
- Services running in Session 0 in a production environment
- Application components deprecated in the newer version of the operating system
Evaluating Windows 2000 Managed Applications
You cannot evaluate managed applications on computers running the Microsoft® Windows 2000 operating system. The deprecated component portion of the WCE uses a technology that cannot be enabled for managed applications running on Windows 2000.
How Can I Work Around This Problem?
If you require the evaluation of managed applications, your computers must run Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, or newer versions of the operating system.
