Manage Server Computers

Using the Manage Server Computers taskpad, you can manage additional computers running Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003 on the Windows Small Business Server network. For more information, see Additional Servers.

Task Summary

The following table describes the tasks on the Manage Server Computers taskpad. Some tasks are only available when a server is selected.

Task Description

Set Up Server Computers

Starts the Set Up Server Computer Wizard, enabling you to add additional servers to the network.

Connect to Computer via Terminal Services

Opens a remote desktop connection to the selected server.

Manage Computer

Starts the local Computer Management snap-in, which enables you to remotely manage the selected server.

View Event Logs

Enables you to view the application, security, and system logs for the selected server.

View Services

Enables you to remotely view and manage services for the selected server.

Remove Computer from Network

Permanently removes the selected server's computer account from Active Directory. Once removed, the computer account cannot be recovered.

Manage Client Computers

Opens the Manage Client Computers taskpad.
