Connect a mobile device to a network or the Internet by using ActiveSync

These settings are configured automatically if virtual private network (VPN) connections are enabled on the server. For more information, see Using the Remote Access Wizard.

From the client computer:

  1. On the desktop, click Microsoft ActiveSync.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the Rules tab, select Open ActiveSync when my mobile device connects.
  4. In the Connection list, select The Internet.
