Modify the backup schedule

To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the Domain Admins security group.

  1. Open Server Management. To open Server Management, click Start, and then click Server Management.
  2. In the console tree, click Backup.
  3. In the details pane, click Modify the Backup Schedule. The Backup Configuration Wizard appears.
    On the Welcome Page, click Next.
  4. On the Define Backup Schedule page, specify the day(s) that you want to back up the server, specify the start time for the backup, and then click Next.
    If you are backing up to hard disk, you can also specify the number of backup files to store on that disk.
  5. On the Finish page, review the setting changes, and then click Finish.

To modify backup settings, you must have run the Backup Configuration Wizard previously.

It is recommended that you start the backup before 2:00 A.M. to ensure that it finishes before the server status report is sent. Otherwise, you might not receive backup status in this report. You can change the time the server status report is sent by using the Monitoring Configuration Wizard.
