Configuring Client Computer Settings to Deploy (Server-Side Task)

Before you deploy client computers in a Windows SBS network, you need to configure the server.

  • To use the Server Management console to configure the settings that connect the client computers to the network, see Using Server Management to configure client computers.
  • A client computer must have a computer account on the server before it can connect to a Windows SBS network. For more information, see Setting Up Client Computer Accounts.
  • Applications that are used on the client computer can be installed either from the server directly or from the server through the client computer. For more information, see Setting Up Client Computer Applications.
  • You can use the Server Management console to view configuration settings on a client computer, including assigned applications, settings for client-computer setup, and options for configuring the client-computer setup. For more information, see Viewing a client computers settings.
