ImportantImportant
If you want to use the Microsoft Connector for POP3 Mailboxes to receive POP3 e-mail, click Enable Internet e-mail. The connector retrieves POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) e-mail and sends outgoing e-mail using the SmallBusiness SMTP connector.

noteNote
The SmallBusiness SMTP connector is deleted when you disable Internet e-mail and the Microsoft Connector for POP3 Mailboxes service is disabled.
noteNote
Selecting this option does not interfere with using Exchange for internal e-mail between client computers.

Do not change Internet e-mail configuration

Click if you do not want to change your Internet e-mail configuration or if you have custom Exchange settings that you do not want overwritten.

In the console tree, double-click Advanced Management, double-click your Exchange server, and then double-click Connectors. In the details pane, right-click the connector, and then click Properties.
