Change Broadband Password
You can change the password used by your broadband connection to connect to the Internet. A broadband password is also referred to as Point-to-Point-Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE).

- Broadband connections that use a password are also referred to as Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connections.

Specifies the name of the connection you are using to connect to your Internet service provider (ISP). |
User name |
Specifies the name of the account used to authenticate your broadband Internet connection to your ISP. |
Password |
Type the password for the account used to authenticate your broadband Internet connection to your ISP. To verify it was entered correctly, retype the password in Confirm password. |
Notes
- If you would like to connect to your ISP using a PPPoE connection other than the default connection, click a different connection name in the drop-down list.
- To add a new broadband connection, run the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard. For more information about the wizard, click Start, and then click Help and Support.
- If you change the user name or password authentication information, be sure your ISP has made the change in their settings as well.
