<Application_Name_for_Update> - Intersecting Updates

The Intersecting Updates tab of the <Application_Name_for_Update> dialog box enables you to view detailed information for any update that has a known intersection with an application that is installed in your organization. For example, if an update potentially breaks a registry file that is in use by Microsoft® Office, and you have even one computer with Office installed, then the update will appear in this tab.

  • The date the Windows update was released.

  • The severity of the update, as determined by the Microsoft Response Center (MSRC).

  • The bulletin number, as determined by the MSRC.

  • The update title, as entered by MSRC.

To access the Intersecting Updates tab of the <Application_Name_for_Update> dialog box

  1. Click Analyze from the Quick Reports pane.

  2. Click Applications from the Update Impact Reports heading in the Quick Reports pane.

    The Update Impact Reports - Applications screen appears.

  3. Double-click the application for which you want to see the associated details.

    The <Application_Name_for_Update> dialog box appears, with the Intersecting Updates tab showing.
