This appendix lists and describes Systems Management Server (SMS) filename extensions, files, and directories. This appendix can be helpful when you are troubleshooting SMS, either in conjunction with the SMS system flow charts (see Chapters 17 through 25), or to determine whether an SMS site system is missing a file.
File Name Extensions
SMS files have various extensions, each with a specific meaning. Many SMS files are ephemeral, so do not be alarmed if you cannot find a certain type of file.

Logon Point Directories

These directories are located in the \SMSLogon directory. Even though a site system can be a logon point for several SMS sites, there is only one \SMSLogon directory. However, \SMSLogon\ contains data specific to each site with a \Sites\<SiteCode> directory on the site system.
