Activate a DHCP Scope

You can use this procedure to activate a DHCP scope using the DHCP Microsoft Management Console (MMC).

Membership in DHCP Administrators, or equivalent, is the minimum required to perform this procedure.

To activate a DHCP scope

  1. Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click DHCP. The DHCP MMC opens.

  2. In DHCP, double-click the server name. For example, if the DHCP server name is DHCP-01.example.com, double-click DHCP-01.example.com.

  3. Double-click IPv4, and click the scope that you want to activate. Right-click the scope that you want to activate, and then click Activate.
