Store messages on multiple disk drives

To store messages on multiple disk drives

  1. Open Computer Management.

  2. In the console tree, right-click Message Queuing.

    Where?

    • Computer Management/Services and Applications/Message Queuing
  3. Click Properties.

  4. On the Storage page, type a different drive letter and path as applicable in Message files folder, Message logger folder, or Transaction logger folder.

  5. If prompted to stop the Message Queuing service, click Yes.

  6. If prompted to restart Windows, click Restart Now.

Notes

  • To open Computer Management, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.

  • By default, Message Queuing stores all message files, log files, and transaction log files in the \Windows\System32\Msmq\Storage folder on the drive on which Message Queuing is installed.
