Execute Method dialog box

In the Execute Method dialog box, you can do the following:

  • Edit the object path, by clicking Edit Object Path and set the object path to refer to a specific instance if necessary.

  • Show the current object path in the ObjectPath text box.

  • Close this dialog box without executing the method, by clicking Dismiss.

  • Display the methods available for this class in the Method drop-down list .

  • Set the various parameters the method might require, by clicking Edit In Parameters.

  • Reset all the input parameters to the default settings, by clicking Clear In Parameters.

  • View the output parameters for the method, by clicking Edit Out Parameters. The output parameters contain data returned from a method.

Notes

  • To display the Execute Method dialog box, click Execute Method on the Windows Management Instrumentation Tester dialog box.

  • You can use the Execute Method dialog box to run a method of a class or class instance.
