Updated: January 21, 2005

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To view documents waiting to print

  1. Open Printers and Faxes.

  2. Double-click the printer for which you want to view the documents waiting to print.

  • To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.

  • The print queue displays information about a document such as print status, owner, and number of pages to be printed. From the print queue, you can cancel or pause printing for any document you send to the printer.

  • You can also open the print queue by double-clicking the printer icon in the notification area.

  • Another way to open the print queue is to click the printer in Printers and Faxes, and then click See what's printing under Tasks on the left side of the window. This option is available only if folders are set to look like a Web page and a printer is selected. For more information, click Related Topics.

Information about functional differences
