Disconnect without ending a session using Remote Desktop Connection

To disconnect without ending a session
In the remote desktop window, click Start, and then click Shut Down.
The Shut Down Window dialog box appears.
Select Disconnect from the list at the top of this dialog, and then click OK.
Remote Desktop Connection reconnects to this session the next time you connect to this terminal server (if the connection is configured for reconnection of disconnected sessions).
