Dirquota quota list

Lists currently configured quotas. The command output displays quota properties, quota usage, and the amount of available space on the quota path. If used without parameters, the dirquota quota list command displays quotas on all affected paths on the computer.

Note

To list auto apply quotas that are configured on the computer, use the dirquota autoquota list command.

Note

To use this command, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.

Parameters

Parameter Description

/path:<Path> [/effective | /restrictive]

Lists quotas configured on path Path. You can use the following wildcard characters:

  • \. — the folder specified by Path

  • \* — all immediate subfolders of Path

  • \... — all recursive subfolders of Path

No wildcards are supported if /effective or /restrictive is specified:

  • /effective lists only quotas configured at or above Path.

  • /restrictive lists only the most restrictive quota on Path.

/status:{enabled | disabled}

Lists only quotas with a status of enabled (meaning that the quota is enforced) or disabled.

/type:{hard | soft}

Lists only quotas with a specified quota type:

  • hard — prevents users from saving files when the limit is reached

  • soft — allows the limit to be exceeded

/sourcetemplate:<TemplateName>

Lists only quotas that are derived from the quota template TemplateName. If the template name contains a space, enclose the name in quotation marks.

/templatematch:{yes | no}

Lists only quotas that either match (yes) or do not match (no) a quota template.

/minused:<Usage>[% | kb | mb | gb]

Lists only quotas with the minimum usage value Usage. By default, Usage is denoted in kilobytes (KB), but you can append %, kb, mb, or gb to the number to specify the unit.

/show-recycled

Includes quotas for folders in the Recycle Bin.

/list-notifications

Includes notification details for each quota.

/remote:<ComputerName>

Performs the operation on the remote computer ComputerName.

Remarks

  • The shortest sequence of characters that uniquely identifies a parameter can be used as an abbreviation. For example, the following two commands are equivalent:

    dirquota q l /sh 
dirquota quota list /show-recycled

  • To perform operations on a remote computer by using the **/remote:**ComputerName parameter:

    • You must be logged on with a domain account that is a member of the Administrators group on both the local computer and the remote computer.

    • The remote computer must be running Windows Server 2008, and File Server Resource Manager must be installed.

    • The Remote File Server Resource Manager Management exception on the remote computer must be enabled. You enable this exception by using Windows Firewall in Control Panel.

Examples

  • To list all quotas configured on the local computer, type:

    dirquota quota list

  • To list recursively all soft quotas configured in subfolders of D:\users, type:

    dirquota quota list /path:d:\users\... /type:soft

  • To list all quotas on the remote computer FILESERVER1, type:

    dirquota quota list /remote:fileserver1
