Working Remotely

If you access Windows SBS remotely, you can read e-mail, access your computer at work, view your company’s internal Web site, and synchronize offline files.

  • You can use Remote Web Workplace to access the Windows SBS network remotely. For more information, see Using the Remote Web Workplace.
  • When you are traveling or working from home, you can check your work e-mail remotely over the Internet by using a Web-based version of Outlook, called Outlook Web Access. For more information, see Checking work e-mail remotely.
  • You can use Windows SBS to work offline by sharing network files and programs, even when you are not connected to the network. For more information, see Working offline.
