To create a new snap-in console based on an existing snap-in console

To create a new snap-in console based on an existing snap-in console

  1. Open an existing console that you want to use as the basis for the new console.

  2. On the File menu, click Save as , and then type a name for the new console.

  3. To open an existing or saved MMC console, browse to the snap-in console or a shortcut to the snap-in console in Windows Explorer, and then double-click it.

Note

You can also open an existing MMC console from another console in which you are working. To do this, click the File menu, and then click Open .
