Rename Multiple Files at the Same Time
Before XP, I had to resort to the command line or third-party applications to rename large numbers of files at the same time. XP now allows you to select a number of files using Windows Explorer and then rename them all at once using F2. The new name you type will be applied to all the files plus an incremental number at the end.
