Planning Overview [Office Communications Server 2007 R2]

Planning for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 includes completing the same planning tasks that were required for the previous version, Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, as well as completing additional planning tasks that are new in this release. This means that completing all the planning tasks for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 requires the following:
- Completing the appropriate Office Communications Server 2007 planning tasks are described in the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Planning Guide. This document, as well as the other Office Communications Server 2007 documentation, is available from the Office Communications Server Web site at Office Communications Server 2007 TechNet Library.
- Completing the planning tasks for each of the new Office Communications Server 2007 R2 features, which are described in the topics listed under Related Sections.
Before starting the planning tasks, you should understand the planning process for this release, as well as the Planning Tool that is available in this release to facilitate the planning process.
