Deployment Server

Deployment Server provides the full functionality of Windows Deployment Services, which you can use to configure and remotely install Windows operating systems. With Windows Deployment Services, you can create and customize images and then use them to reimage computers. Deployment Server is dependent on the core parts of Transport Server (which is why you cannot install only Deployment Server without Transport Server). Deployment Server provides an end-to-end operating system deployment solution. It includes the following parts:
A PXE server to support network boot
An image store to manage
A transport server to allow multicast
A diagnostics piece to monitor client installs
Management tools to configure and manage the server
