Configuring Session State in IIS 7
Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista
When clients visit a site, they generally navigate from one page to another and frequently change some of the pages they visit. If you want to track where they go and what they change, you must configure session state.
For information about the levels at which you can perform these procedures, and the modules, handlers, and permissions that are required for these procedures, see Session State Feature Requirements (IIS 7).
