Reconfigure the DNS Service

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

Reconfigure the DNS service to account for the addition of the second domain controller in the forest root domain. You can also use these procedures as you deploy additional domain controllers that are running the DNS service. To reconfigure the DNS service:

• Enable Aging and Scavenging for DNS

• Configure the DNS Client Settings of the First and Subsequent Domain Controllers

• Update the DNS Delegation
