Enable or disable topology verification

Applies To: Windows Server 2003 R2

Topology verification checks whether the topology is fully connected. You can view the status of the topology by selecting a replication group, clicking the Connections tab in the details pane, and viewing the status that appears in the details pane.

To enable or disable topology validation

  1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click DFS Management.

  2. In the console tree, right-click the Replication node, and then do one of the following:

    • To disable topology verification, click Disable Topology Verification.

    • To enable topology verification, click Enable Topology Verification.

Note

  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Domain Admins group in Active Directory, or you must have been delegated the ability to manage an existing replication group. If you are the creator of the replication group, you can also perform this procedure.
