Updated: August 22, 2005

Applies To: Windows Server 2003 R2

To delete an application directory partition

  1. Open ADAM ADSI Edit.

  2. Connect and bind to the ADAM instance.

  3. Double-click the configuration directory partition (CN=Configuration,CN={GUID}).

  4. In the console tree, click the partitions container (CN=Partitions).

  5. In the details pane, right-click the application directory partition that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

Caution

  • The only way to retrieve a deleted application directory partition is to restore the entire ADAM instance from a backup copy that was made before the deletion of the partition.

Notes

  • To start the ADAM ADSI Edit snap-in, click Start, point to All Programs, point to ADAM, and then click ADAM ADSI Edit.
