Managing group accounts by using Windows SBS Console

In Windows SBS Console, on the Users and Groups tab, Groups displays a list of e-mail distribution groups and security groups. This tab also provides a set of group specific administrative tasks such as editing and removing groups, and changing group memberships.

The following table lists the user tasks that are available in Windows SBS Console and their descriptions. Some of the tasks are group specific and are only visible when a group is selected.

Available group administrative tasks

Task Name Description

Edit group properties

Enables you to change the properties (such as group name, group description, group members, and e-mail delivery options) of the selected group.

Change group membership

Enables you to add or remove members in the selected group.

Remove group

Enables you to remove the selected group.

Add a new group

Starts the Add a New Group Wizard, which enables you to create a new group and set its properties.
