Assign an issue

An issue can be unassigned or can be assigned to one user at a given time.

You can assign an issue to a user by editing an issue in an issues list. The user must have already been added as a user to your Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site.

To assign an issue to a user

  1. On the top link bar, click Documents and Lists .

  2. Click the issues list that contains the issue you want to assign.

  3. Click the title of the issue.

  4. Click Edit Item .

  5. Click the drop down list for Assigned To to look up and select the display name for the user to whom you want to assign the issue.

  6. Click Save and Close .
