I am having problems using the XSL Link or XSL Editor property in the XML Web Part

Possible reasons include the following:

  • The Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) specified in the XSL Link ( XSLLink property) or XSL Editor ( XSL property) is not valid. Make sure you have specified a valid XSL style sheet for this Web Part.

  • The XSL file specified in the XSL Link ( XSLLink property) cannot be accessed by the site server. The site server may have anonymous access disabled or require you to log in with a user name and password. In either case, this makes the file inaccessible.

    If you can:

    • Move the XSL file to a secure location that has anonymous access enabled or to the same site as the XML Web Part.

    • Request the site administrator to enable anonymous access.

    • Move the XSL content from the XSL Link ( XSLLink property) to the XSL Editor ( XSL property).

For assistance, contact your site administrator.
