SharePoint Team Services relies on a SQL Server or MSDE database to provide storage for information about SharePoint team Web sites. You can manage database-related features, such as Web document discussions and subscriptions, and back up and restore the database to keep it synchronized with your file system backups. If you are using FrontPage 2002 to author your Web sites, you can also integrate a database with your SharePoint team Web site or FrontPage-based Web site to provide information on your Web pages, such as product catalogs or sales data.
