In some circumstances it may be beneficial to augment the default configuration of FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions or SharePoint Team Services to meet the needs of an ISP or corporate deployment. A tool that may provide this flexibility is available for download:

  • The Self-Service Site Creation add-in is available for use with SharePoint Team Services.

When you install and enable Self-Service Site Creation, SharePoint Team Services users can create their own subwebs. In a corporate deployment, you could enable users to create SharePoint team Web sites using their existing domain accounts. An ISP could extend the sample implementation to add SharePoint Team Services to its provisioning system.
