About subscriptions

The Subscription feature enables you to be notified by e-mail of any changes made to the content of your SharePoint team Web site. When you subscribe to a list, document library, discussion board, or survey, the Web server notifies you on a scheduled basis if an item is modified or deleted or if a new item is added to the component you subscribed to.
You can cancel your subscriptions at any time.
